- 04Recalculate; do not add water to an already-mixed vial casually. Topping up water later is possible in principle but adds contamination risk with every extra entry. Prefer to recompute the correct draw volume for the concentration you actually have.
- 05Remix only when volume is unusable. If the vial is so over-diluted that a dose no longer fits the syringe, or so concentrated the dose is a sliver of a unit, starting a fresh vial is cleaner than chasing corrections. Weigh that against waste.

Frequently asked questions
Did I ruin the peptide by adding too much water?+
Almost never. Extra water lowers the concentration but does not destroy the peptide. The full mass is still in the vial; you just draw a larger volume to reach the same dose. Recalculate before the next draw.
I under-diluted. Is my dose now too strong?+
Your dose per unit is stronger because the solution is more concentrated. Draw fewer units to hit the same target, and confirm the new volume on a calculator so you do not overshoot.
Should I add more water to fix an under-dilution?+
You can, but every extra vial entry adds contamination risk. It is usually cleaner to recompute the smaller draw volume for the concentration you have than to top up water.
When is it better to start a new vial?+
When the required draw no longer fits the syringe, or the dose becomes a fraction of a single tick, a fresh vial is more reliable than repeated corrections. Balance that against wasted product.
